Working for a Telecommunications company as a Commercial Technician I discovered the passion for all types of technology. I enjoyed immersing myself in training classrooms and install manuals to learn every aspect of the technological unknown.
More often than not I would have to leave businesses helpless when they thought that an Internet service provider would do everything possible to get their services back up (i.e. Telephone, Internet, and Structured Cabling). This is not the case; these companies love to use a loophole which is their defined P.O.D.
P.O.D is known as the point of demarcation. What this means is that their responsibility ends at their equipment. Most businesses are not prepared for this they had the false notion that their ISP would take care of their business to ensure optimal up time. Many times working for that Telecom company I would leave customers sites down and their customers unsatisfied.
Leaving customers unsatisfied did not feel good to me and I did not enjoy not being able to do everything in my ability to get the customer working. Finally, I came to a conclusion, I could provide these services for businesses.
As soon as I got my company up and running it took off very quickly. Serving many clients in the Southeast and on occasion technicians getting flown out to different states to take on emergency repairs and construction projects.
